- Multi-analyte constituents provide fast chromatic analytical data for UV/UVC testing.
- Photochromic dosimeter strip uses an analyte sensitive to wide-band UV between 200-400nm UVA/UVB/UVC
- UV dosimeter color strip concentration is directly proportional to UV intensity (higher intensity equals darker color)
- UV dosimeter color concentrations are also directly proportional to UVA UVB and UVC wavelength (shorter wavelengths equals lighter color) at max value.
- UVC photo-luminescence detection technology displays temporary fluorescence between 250-270 nm when directly exposed to optimal germicidal UVC light waves.

Directions
To use the QuantaDose UVC test card, first expose it to the UV source being tested. Observe the top light sensor for an instant color change to green, which indicates the presence of optimal germicidal UVC wavelengths. The intensity of UV exposure can be measured using the bottom light sensor, which changes color from clear to purple based on the energy value received. The color change occurs gradually, with the word 'ULTRAVIOLET' appearing at approximately 300 μW/cm2 UVC and a dark purple color at 3000 μW/cm2 UVC. The temporary photochromic dosimeter color should be checked immediately after exposure for the most accurate intensity results. Ensure that the test is completed within 15 seconds and the card is removed from the UV source after exposure.
Legal Disclaimer
UV/UVC dosimeters/indicator cards are intended as a visual reference of UV/UVC irradiation only and are not a substitute for microbiological testing to verify decontamination or disinfection. A noticeable color change in the lower dose area under 253.7 nm UVC begins to occur at 300 Microwatt per square metre [μW/cm2]. If you are not getting a color change displaying the word ULTRAVIOLET in the lower section of the Quantadose test card while top indicator is green, please investigate the UVC light source as you are most likely not reaching the desired level of germicidal intensity required under CDC guidelines for rapid disinfection times under ten minutes. QuantaDoseTM color change starts with an intensity of 300 μW/cm2 UVGI, a 100 mJ/cm2 accumulative exposure is reached in under 5 minutes as confirmed with American Ultraviolet’s UVC Dosimeters by Intellego Technologies At an intensity of apx 3000 μW/cm2 253.7 nm UVC the QuantaDose will achieve maximum color concentration in less than 15 seconds. It is important that BOTH QuantaDose indicators have visible color distinction when confirming effective UVGI intensity from consumer grade UVC lighting products. See CDC Guidelines here https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/ppe-strategy/decontamination-reuse-respirators.html The life span of a reusable QuantaDoseTM UVGI test card is related to photo-degradation that can effect the accuracy of intensity visualization. Calibration can be done using a known UVC intensity and distance. The easiest way is a 3 watt bulb at 1 inch to confirm color change. The key determinant is the cumulative amount of exposure to UV radiation, and not the number of times the photochromic material is cycled between exposure, also important is the environment in which the material finds itself, since this can influence its photochemistry too. QuantaDoseTM UV test cards should be stored in dry conditions without exposure to UV light.
Quantadose UVC Light Test Card with UVC Light Wavelength Indicator and Intensity Test
The QuantaDose dual wavelength multi-strip UVC test card measures UV intensity with a very specialized analyte for wide-band photochromic UV dosimetry combined with a narrow-band short-wave fluorescent indicator for testing optimal UVC germicidal wavelengths. QuantaDose provides you with real-time results for super fast verification/validation purposes to avoid an increasing number of fake and defective germicidal UVC light products on the market today.
QuantaDose UVC test cards are a basic, reliable, low cost, simple, in-house, and right out of your pocket method of monitoring UV intensity along with verifying that the optimal UVC germicidal light wavelengths are being used in your disinfection process without spending hundreds of dollars on fragile UV and UVC light meters.
What is QuantaDose?
We are Quanta X Technology, the manufacture of QuantaDose UVC Test Cards, is an American company founded during the start of the pandemic in 2020 by people who have spent their entire lives in the research and development of technologies that utilize electromagnetic radiation. Today they have focused their talents on the transmission and detection of UVC light from consumer-engineered UVC devices by manufacturing rapid ultraviolet-type C analytical test instruments.
Top and Bottom Light Sensor Test Wavelength of UV Exposure by QuantaDose
Basic, Reliable, Low Cost, Simple Method of Monitoring UV Intensity
The letters UV-C glow brightly when measuring the correct UVGI wavelengths for a minimum calibrated reference point of 300 μW/cm2 UVC intensity through simultaneous word legibility and letter visibility. The1st Edition dual-wavelength UVC test card measures UV intensity with a very specialized analyte for wide-band photochromic UV intensity dosage between 250-400 nm combined with a narrow-band short-wave fluorescent UVGI indicator for testing optimal UVC germicidal wavelengths.
Package Dimension: 3.5" x 2.5" x 0.1"
Instant On/Off Fluorescent UVC Indicator: 222 -280 nm
Wide-band UV Between 200-400nm UVA/UVB/UVC
Methods to Verify a UVC Product's Claims of Germicidal Wavelengths and Germicidal Intensity.
QuantaDose has created a specially formulated ink chemistry that is sensitive to only optimal germicidal UVC which will not fluoresce to visible light or UVA and UVB. This ensures only germicidal wavelengths between 250-270nm are shown in bright green.
Bottom Light Sensor Test Intensity of UV Exposure: When exposed to UVA, UVB & UVC wavelengths, the QuantaDose test card undergoes a gradual color change in seconds from clear to light purple, displaying the word "ULTRAVIOLET " at approximately 300 μW/cm2 UVC where color is directly related to the energy value received. Temporary photochromic dosimeter color is used to check intensity after exposure and should be checked immediately after exposure for most accurate intensity results. Test is completed in 15 secs, remove card from source!
